Apple has gone ahead and removed the support of Windows XP and Vista from Mac OS X 10.6.6. The latest Boot Camp version in the Mac OS X 10.6.6 has made notable changes. When you create Windows partition using Boot Camp, it asks for an authentic installation disc of Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate.
The last version of Boot Camp 3.2, released in November last year, supported the Vista and XP operating systems and was compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows. However, the new version, apart from discontinuing Windows XP and Vista support, recommends internet connection for driver installation.
The Mac OS X 10.6.6 introduces many updates, prominent among them is the opening of the Mac App Store.
