It’s also found to be quite energy efficient and a less expensive green option if you don’t want to fully commit to solar shingles.

Asphalt and fiber roofing are not yet common in some places. However, because countries like Japan are prone to earthquakes and natural disasters, this type of roofing is quite useful. These materials have many advantages such as being noise resistant, making the house cooler and it is also eco friendly. The price for this type of roof though is more expensive than the other because the materials have to be imported from abroad.

The last major material is concrete which is popular in many cities. This material is particularly useful for commercial buildings. However, the downside of this material is the lack of pores that allows air in the building; therefore, it might a little hotter in buildings that have concrete roofs.
