EMP’s Can Am Commander roof is a low profile design that includes an LED light and is constructed with ⅛” thick 5052 aircraft grade aluminum. The roof fits 2010-2013 Commanders and 2013 Mavericks, and a battery operated LED dome light in an aluminum housing is mounted to the top of the roof, and uses just two AA batteries that last an average 100 hours! This roof adds just 1/8″ to the height to your Can-Am Maverick or Commander, so if you transport your Commander in a toy hauler, this roof won’t add too much height to fit the vehicle under the roof. The roof is powder-coated with a mini-texture black for superior protection and it attaches to the Commander’s cage with rubber coated straps to protect your cage. Each roof is laser cut and CNC formed to ensure a perfect fit on the Commander’s cage.
Can Am’s Dynamic Power Steering system is now available on most Commander models, but earlier Commanders were not commonly equipped with power steering from the showroom. Fortunately, EMP’s power assist steering is available for the Commander as a simple bolt-on modification. The newest electric power steering technology being used by the major automotive manufacturers to replace hydraulic power steering is now available to Commander owners. EMP’s steering unit uses an electric column and power control module with state of the art electronics. This power steering system offers a significant reduction in manual steering effort, particularly at low speed. The Electra-Steer Can Am Commander Power Steering Assist Unit is intended to be used as part of the normal operation of the vehicle as specified by the original manufacturer.
